AFT-Berkeley Update – 11/17/2020
Pictured below is the action item from last nights board meeting that contains details about teacher planning work days. These are the current faculty senate/remote days we already had on the calendar with an additional 4 days. The purpose of these days is to provide Click and Hybrid teachers with additional planning and prep time. No live meetings are to occur on these days. AFT-Berkeley and BCEA worked together on this. We originally asked a four day week for students and a 5 day week for teachers to address these needs. The negotiation for these days has been a battle and we did not get what we asked for, but it is a start.
